BUENA VISTA CITY COUNCIL
PUBLIC HEARING
September 7th 2023

Pursuant to Code of Virginia Sections 15.2-2204 and 15.2-1800, notice is given that the City Council of the City of Buena Vista will hold a public hearing to receive comment on the following matters.

1) Repeal of Chapter 20 Human Relations of the Code of the City of Buena Vista, for the purpose of repealing a local fair housing ordinance which is superseded by state and federal laws and regulations.

The Public Hearing will be held in Council Chambers, City Hall, 2039 Sycamore Ave, Buena Vista VA 24416. The meeting begins at 6:00 PM on Thursday, September 7th 2023. CITY OF LEXINGTONPUBLIC HEARINGThe City Council of Lexington will conduct a public hearing at 7:00 p.m. Thursday, May 2, 2024 during its regular meeting, held in the first floor meeting room of the Rockbridge County Administrative Offices, 150 South Main Street, Lexington, Virginia, concerning Ordinance 2024-04 which appropriates funds approved in the fiscal year 2025 budget. The proposed real estate tax rate for FY25 is $0.92 per $100; no changes for personal property tax rates are proposed. Water and sewer rates are proposed to increase by an average of 8.0%.
