CHIEF DEPUTY REGISTRAR FOR THE CITY OF LEXINGTON
The City of Lexington is seeking qualified applicants for the full-time non-exempt position of Chief Deputy Registrar of Voters. The Chief Deputy Registrar performs complex professional, technical and administrative work assisting the Director of Elections/General Registrar in the administration of voter registration and election-related activities as well as daily departmental operations. Duties include, but are not limited to, the ability to assume the role of the Director in their absence. The successful candidate will be appointed by and serve at the pleasure of the Director of Elections. The successful applicant will be required to undergo a criminal background check, DMV motor vehicle record check, and drug screening. The City of Lexington participates in the Virginia Retirement System and offers a liberal fringe benefit package. Pay for this position is $22.86 to$24.09 per hour depending on qualifications.
