Rockbridge Community Table Seeks Dedicated Board Members Rockbridge Community Table Seeks Dedicated Board Members to Support Hunger Relief Efforts
The Rockbridge Community Table (TCT) is issuing a call for passionate individuals to join its Board of Directors and contribute to the organization's mission of alleviating hunger in Lexington, Buena Vista, and Rockbridge County, Virginia. TCT Rockbridge serves as a vital connecting point between those at risk for hunger and those willing to offer support.
At TCT, we envision ourselves as more than just a meal provider; we strive to create a welcoming gathering place where individuals can enjoy nutritious meals with dignity, free from the stigma often associated with traditional soup kitchens.
Currently, TCT serves approximately 200 meals per week, with food
sourced from partners such as the Blue Ridge Area Food Bank,
Rockbridge Area Relief Association, and Campus Kitchen at Washington
and Lee University. Last year we provided 10,000 meals to those in
need.
To ensure the continued success of our organization, we are urgently
seeking new board members with expertise in social media and
marketing, public relations, fundraising and grant writing. These individuals will play a crucial role in advancing TCT's outreach efforts and securing funding to support our programs.
Interested candidates are encouraged to apply for a board position
