PARKS AND CEMETERY SUPERVISOR
The City of Lexington is accepting applications for the full-time non-exempt position of parks and cemetery supervisor. This position supervises and performs intermediate skilled and responsible technical work related to the care and maintenance of the City's parks and cemeteries. Work is performed under the regular supervision of the public works general superintendent. All public works supervisors are expected to administer the work of their assigned crew, including assisting with personnel hiring and training; scheduling of crew work assignments; inspecting and evaluating crew work performance; documenting and enforcing personnel disciplinary actions; preparing comprehensive annual personnel evaluations; and instilling a positive work ethic and team mindset within their crew. The City of Lexington participates in the Virginia Retirement System and offers a liberal fringe benefit package. Pay for this position is $16.62 - $25.41 per hour depending on qualifications.
